Immediate Life Support Provider Course
The Australian Institute of Medical Simulation and Innovation is an accredited Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) ILS Course Centre. All courses held here are certified by the ARC and taught by approved ILS Instructors. This ensures uniformity of content and standards.
The course consists of core lectures and the majority of teaching delivered in small groups in practical skills stations.
The aim of the course is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway management and safe defibrillation (manual and/ or AED), enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until arrival of a cardiac arrest team and to participate as memebers of that team.
This course is designed for all healthcare professionals
All applicants should hold a current clinical or educational appointment and professional healthcare qualification.
The manual is sent to the candidate one month before the course date and the candidate is strongly advised to study this and the assessment form thoroughly before attending.

1 day (08.30-16.30)
Successful candidates receive an Australian Resuscitation Council ILS Provider certificate, which is valid for 4 years.
CME & CPD points will generally be available.
